Guided Remote Learning Program

Support for Grades 1 to 3 Students

  • Students use only one link for their classes (the link of their advisory classroom). The subject teachers transfer classrooms, not the students.
  • Class materials, including modules and recordings of classes, are still posted in the subjects’ respective Google classrooms.
  • Class advisers post in their advisory classrooms a daily summary of the important reminders from the various subjects. This replaces the function of the diary of the students used for notes and assignements.
  • Teachers begin their consultation periods with a walk through of the module so they can explain what is expected from the students.

 SUPPORT FROM PARENTS/GUARDIANS

Parents/guardians play a vital role in their sons’ online learning. Specifically, they can help by…

  • Designating a conducive study area for their sons;
  • Setting up a daily schedule and ensuring that it is followed;
  • Printing the school’s schedule and placing it in a visible place;
  • Checking from time to time if their sons are attending their classes and submitting their module outputs; and
  • Communicating with their designated class adviser or mentor regarding concerns.

During classes, parents/guardians of younger students should help set up the necessary devices (laptop or tablet connected to the internet), access Google Classroom, and check on their sons from time to time. During modules, parents/guardians should supervise their sons’ work and submissions.
