HOME SCHOOL COLLABORATION

“We believe that the responsibility for the upbringing and education of children belongs primarily to the parents, with the school as their active partner.” (from the PAREF Southridge Credo)

“Parents under the PAREF umbrella share these basic beliefs:

  1. Parents have the primary responsibility of educating their children;
  2. Total formation has to include virtues and values inspired by Christian ideals that are actively and continuously pursued;
  3. Freedom and responsibility must go hand in hand in a life of service to God, to country and to others, especially the less fortunate.

Means for Home-School Collaboration

  1. Personal Formation of Parents. Personal Formation is synonymous to Character Formation.  Character is the set of qualities that one has developed in his very person.  They are positive dispositions and habits that make a person good.  In a word, Character means Virtues.  Through parent formation activities, PAREF offers parents opportunities to improve themselves.
